Company
Overview
DuraSystems
Computing specializes in programming and technical support of computer systems
for regulated businesses. Our largest customers are the Pharmaceutical and
Medical Device manufacturers. We focus on the computers used on manufacturing
equipment, engineering, and inspection. We take pride in our ability to isolate
whether the problem is caused by computer software, computer hardware, the
machine, operator error, or material variation.
The equipment
manufacturers know their machines, but we add value with our knowledge of how
to program and support the machines in a regulated company’s environment.
Computerized equipment typically requires integration to the customer’s
network, backups, upgrades, and data restorations. Afterwards, testing and
validation is required. Although we do most programming and configuration with
our staff, we also work with the equipment manufacturers, contract programmers,
and the customer’s IT department. We like to think of ourselves as the technical
and project management “glue” to ensure the system is upgraded, tested, backed
up, and validated, with minimal disruption to production. Sometimes the
greatest compliment from production is that they did not know the upgrade was
done over the weekend. It is our goal to keep production and test groups
running smoothly.
We do almost
all aspects of programming, configuring, testing, validating, and supporting
computers used in manufacturing, inspection, and engineering. We differentiate
ourselves from other computer professionals with our knowledge of manufacturing
processes, machines, software quality, and configuration management. This
allows us to maintain and upgrade systems used by companies in regulated
industries.
We typically work for large
companies in long-term consulting roles, but we also do projects and “spot
calls” as needed. Our versatile technical staff can help you with the
following:
·
Computer
software upgrades and network integration for backups
·
Systems
integration - Configuring existing systems to export data to other computers
for monitoring or control
·
Process
troubleshooting - We take pride in our ability to isolate whether the problem
is caused by computer software, computer hardware, the machine, operator error,
or material variation
·
Emergency
hardware repairs
·
Emergency
software rebuilds of production equipment (usually after disk drive crash)
·
Debugging
computer systems
·
Software
validation
·
Writing
repair reports and change controls in a format suitable for FDA regulated
industries
·
Image
backups of Windows based production equipment. Image backups allow the system
to be restored quickly to a validated, production-ready state.
·
PLC/HMI
backups and restorations. We have experience with Allen Bradley, Automation
Direct, EZAutomation, and many others.
·
System
operating procedures - We write detailed procedures for use of customized
computer-based manufacturing equipment.
·
DNC
(Direct Numerical Control) configuration and troubleshooting. We specialize in
configuration of Predator Software and we have extensive experience on systems
that scan a barcode to download applicable production data.
·
Trumpf
laser marking system process development and programming. Experienced in
QuickFlow programming, CAD file development, and laser fixture design.
·
Administration,
troubleshooting, and backups of many brands of optical inspection and CMM
systems
·
We have
experience setting up barcode scanners for high data reliability and writing
programs to allow production personnel to scan the bar code from a shop floor
packet and automatically select the correct programs or parameters for the
machine to manufacture the part. This greatly reduces the risk of production
errors compared to manual selection or entry of data into machines.
